Because the Left wants them to!
Over the last 25 years, the Progressive Left has been undermining traditional American values. Their goal is to bring change to America in the form of Socialism, actually Marxist Socialism. It was a quiet effort at first until Barack Obama was elected President in 2008, using the “Hope and Change” slogan. Change is what they wanted and now they had the forum to bring it front and center. That was the first public acknowledgment of why are so many Democrat cities dying.
Using the Socialist playbook for change “Rules for Radicals” by Saul Alinsky, they mapped a plan and started an aggressive drive towards changing America. I’m sure you’ll recognize the 8 steps they are using:
Rules For Radicals
- Healthcare — Control healthcare and you control the people. (ObamaCare)
- Poverty — Increase the Poverty level as high as possible, poor people are easier to control and will not fight back if you are providing everything for them to live.
- Debt — Increase the debt to an unsustainable level. That way you can increase taxes, and this will produce more poverty.(31 Trillion now)
- Gun Control — Remove the ability to defend themselves from the Government. That way you can create a police state. (2nd Amendment is always under attack)
- Welfare — Take control of every aspect of their lives (Food, Housing, and Income)(Covid).
- Education — Take control of what people read and listen to — take control of what children learn in school.
- Religion — Remove the belief in God from the Government and schools.
- Class Warfare — Divide the people into the wealthy and the poor. This will cause more discontent and it will be easier to take (Tax) the wealthy with the support of the poor.
It’s Happening Now
All of these steps are in action by the Progressive Left right now, just turn on your television and see for yourself. One other tool they are using is from the Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx, which controls communications. The media has been part of the scheme from the beginning and has now been identified as conspiring with the Left in the Twitter Files releases.
Using data from the FAA shows the progress they are making. Tracking passenger data to the country’s 50 largest cities from 2011 thru 2021 shows a stark decline in passenger visits to democrat-controlled cities but shows a steady increase to republican-controlled cities. Some examples are San Francisco dropped 39%, New York (JFK) dropped 33%, Chicago dropped 18%, Detroit dropped 26%, Philadelphia dropped 34%, and Washington DC (Dulles) dropped 36%. Now compare that to red-state cities, Orlando increased 15%, Fort Lauderdale increased 25%, Fort Meyers increased 37%, Dallas increased 72%, and Nashville increased 71%.
Urban Decay
It doesn’t take much research to compare the crime and poverty in all those cities mentioned to realize what has happened. The Progressive left has let criminals run wild, with no prosecutions, drugs run rampant, and homelessness has taken over the sidewalks and parks. Why would anyone want to visit that kind of decay and risk their life?
This is all part of Saul Alinsky’s rules #2 and #8, which increase poverty and divide the people between the wealthy and the poor. If the Mayors of those cities were CEOs of a business, the shareholders would boot them out on their rear. So why do the voters keep electing bad mayors in those cities, because the Progressive Left is telling them to do it.
