President Trump’s arraignment finally happened this past Tuesday. DA Bragg indicted President Trump on 34 counts of falsifying business records. He has upgraded these misdemeanors to felonies by associating them with a larger crime. It appears Bragg is still looking for that “larger” crime as it was still unknown at the arraignment.
The dollar is being dropped as the world’s reserve currency by some countries as they are turning to the Chinese yuan. This is a mostly unreported event that has huge repercussions. As countries turn away from the dollar, it devalues, lessening the United States as a global power. If enough countries turn away from the dollar and we continue on the same course Joe Biden has chosen, it’s possible to bankrupt the nation.
Former college athlete Riley Gaines was invited to speak on transgender athletes in college sports at San Francisco State University. The trans-activists quickly turned it into a brawl, assaulting Ms. Gaines. Police forced their way through the angry mob to the safety of an empty classroom, where she waited 3 hours for the activists to leave. Ms. Gaines commented she would be filing complaints against the University and those activists that physically assaulted her.
Turkey approved Finland joining NATO and was the last country required before joining the alliance. Finland shares approximately 830 miles of border with Russia. Russia is seeing the move as an additional provocation against them. Sweden is also requesting to join NATO but has yet to complete all NATO nations’ approval.
In a surprising interview with former President Bill Clinton, he revealed he feels responsible for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Then President Clinton convinced Ukraine to give up its nuclear arsenal. He is now convinced Russia would not have invaded Ukraine if they were still armed with nuclear warheads.
President Trump delivered a powerful rally-type speech in primetime following his N.Y. arraignment. Citing how the nation has lost its direction and needs to be saved from the radical left before it’s totally lost forever. President Trump’s ratings soared after his indictment and arraignment along with an influx of an additional $10 million in campaign donations.
The Supreme Court’s previous ruling on Carson v. Makin decided against the State of Maine from discriminating against faith-based schools for State school choice funding. Not to be outdone, the Maine State Legislature came back with another way to try and defeat the high court ruling with the Human Rights Act. Originally the Human Rights Act had a religious exemption for faith-based organizations regarding discrimination against LGBTQ persons and gender identity. That exemption was removed, forcing faith-based schools to accommodate all persons and gender identity activities. Expect a new suit to be filed against the State of Maine over that new law.
The Chicago mayoral runoff was decided with Progressive Left Brandon Johnson winning the race. Don’t look for many changes from Lori Lightfoot’s term as Mr. Johnson’s political ideology mimics Ms. Lightfoot’s.
Joe Biden has yet to officially declare running for a 2nd term as President. Having one of the lowest approval ratings in the history of our country, many Democrats want to see someone else on the ticket. They may have a good candidate now with the announcement from Robert F. Kennedy Jr. that he will seek the nomination. Mr. Kennedy is a moderate that many people from both sides of the aisle can see as President.
The Anheuser-Busch company shot itself in the foot recently by running advertising campaigns featuring a male-to-female trans activist. The ads quickly drew the ire of its base market. The ads were pounded on social media calling for a boycott of their products. Retailers complained of the lost sales and the campaign quickly shifted to a more contemporary one.
