The voters of Chicago had enough and ousted Lori Lightfoot as Mayor. A runoff election between the top two candidates, both Democrats, will take place on April 4th. Lightfoot cited racism as the reason for the loss, not mentioning out-of-control crime.
AG Merrick Garland got into heated exchanges with Senator Ted Cruz over the accusations the Department of Justice has been weaponized by the Democrats. Testifying before the Senate Judiciary Committee, Garland was repeatedly questioned over the unfair treatment by his department concerning parents, conservatives, and pro-life advocates.
The Biden Administration is taking heat from their own party, particularly the progressive far left. Washington D.C. Democrats had put forth a Bill to further weaken criminal penalties in the district. Joe Biden came out publicly that he would veto the Bill rather than see increased crime.
The House Office of Congressional Ethics has found sufficient cause to further investigate Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for improperly accepting gifts.
