Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., pushed the Senate Republicans to vote for the disastrous $1.7 trillion omnibus spending bill. The bill handcuffs the new Republicans taking the House majority on January 3rd by locking in the Dems free for all spending for 12 months. McConnell sells out GOP every time in his attempt to appease Democrats. Enough is enough!
One would question McConnell’s’ republican values in approving BILLIONS of dollars for WOKE projects. Passing the Omnibus spending bill will further our economic issues driving inflation even higher. The bill prevented a possible government shutdown which could have been prevented with a 30-day stopgap spending bill without all the left-wing pork attached.
McConnell’s successes during his time in the Senate have been spotty. His biggest success was blocking Merrick Garland’s nomination process for the Supreme Court. McConnell is in his 7th term ending Jan 3, 2027. It’s time for the Kentucky Republican Party to start searching for a true conservative Republican to replace him in the 2026 elections. It takes time to cultivate the right talented person, and now is the time to start!
I’m hopeful the 2024 elections will swing the power back to the GOP in the senate and they can elect a real conservative for the leader. We can’t afford another term of McConnell selling out the GOP again.
